  1.            ^C33^C1New Front Door Program Installed on Crook BB^C0

  3. ^C36A newly developed Front Door program has been installed and is under
  4. test. You are using it now and it provides a number of facilities to
  5. display messages, bulletins etc and also to execute other Door
  6. programs.

  8. The main features are:-
  9.  
  10.     ^C1- Entries may be specified to be displayed to everyone, Sub-Sysops
  11.       only, or New Users only.
  12.       The Sysop Only option provides the basis for a means of allowing
  13.       a Sub-Sysop to carry out certain system functions, such as
  14.       updating a Members List.
  15.     - Entries may be configured to flash if new items have been added
  16.       since the last call.
  17.       See News for an example.
  18.     - Other door programs may be run from the Front Door, such as the
  19.       Questionnaire and certain parameters may be passed to door
  20.       programs.
  21.       Currently, the recognised system variables are
  22.             %Ver, %First, %Last, %Ansi, %HotKey, %NewUser
  23.     - Entries may be one of 4 types:-
  24.       X - Exit to Main BB
  25.       S - Display a single text file
  26.       M - Display a Sub-Menu to display a number of files
  27.       D - Run a Door program
  28.     - Colours and text are all fully
  29.           configurable.
  30.     - Front Door may also be run from the normal BB Doors, allowing
  31.       people access to the on-line help whilst in the main BB.
